Dale Kressin DVM, FAVD, DAVDC is excited to work with you on clinical cases in dentistry and oral surgery. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Veterinary College. Veterinary medicine, veterinary dentistry, oral surgery, pain management, exotics, and veterinary ethics are Dale’s highest professional passions. When asked to provide his biography for this website, he said “that’s simple; I can be defined as change”. As veterinary medicine transforms, we also change and enjoy the opportunities the profession presents. Veterinary dentistry and oral surgery represent expanding opportunities for all of us willing and able to expand our skills. Dental radiology is a fundamental diagnostic tool, essential to the establishment of diagnoses, treatment plans and in performing optimal dental and oral surgical procedures.
Dale is a Wisconsin native. His interest in veterinary medicine came from daily visits to the Milwaukee zoo over several years where he was encouraged to become a veterinarian. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine. Canine, feline, exotic and zoo medicine have been the primary focus of his professional career. Dale has served as a consultant for a University over the past 20 years in charge of the welfare of laboratory animals. He has also served as a zoo consultant. In the past 12 years, Dale has shifted his enthusiasm into dentistry and oral surgery. He has provided various training sessions for veterinary technicians, veterinarians and primate research facilities throughout the country. He is a RACE approved CE provider. He practices veterinary dentistry in Milwaukee and Oshkosh Wisconsin.
Dale enjoys working with and helping others. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Dental College, the Annual Dental Forum, Toastmasters International, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the Northeastern VMA and his church. Dale enjoys speaking (locally, nationally and internationally) to veterinarians and the general public about veterinary dentistry and pain management. He is a VIN (Veterinary Information Network) Consultant and can be found on the VIN dentistry board where you can communicate with him 24-7-365. Alternately you may find him hiking or biking on nature trails. If that fails, he may be out in a kayak on a secluded lake simply enjoying seasonal changes. Life is wonderful and change is fun. Dale looks forward toward sharing cases with you soon. For additional information about Dr. Kressin contact http://www.mypetsdentist.com.
