Dr. Boyd
received his DVM from Texas A&M University in
1967. He then entered the United States Air Force
Veterinary Corps and was stationed in Aviano, Italy
and received an honorable discharge in 1970. He
returned to Houston, Texas and worked as a relief
veterinarian for one year before joining his partner
in small animal general practice from 1971 to 1999.
Dr. Boyd completed the credential process for the
American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and passed
the AVDC Board Exam in 2001. In 1999 he opened his
current dental practice, Veterinary Dental Services,
in Houston where he provides specialized veterinary
dentistry and oral surgery for small animals.
Dr. Boyd is a member of the Harris County Veterinary
Medical Association (past president), Texas Veterinary
Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical
Association, Veterinary Orthopedic Society, American
Veterinary Dental Society (past president) and American
Veterinary Dental College.
